Cost

How much does direct primary care cost in Colorado Springs?

How the pricing works, what the membership covers, and how to tell whether it saves you money.

Key takeaways

  • One flat monthly fee, set by age, covers your primary care. Peak Health's prices will be posted before opening.
  • Visits have no copay. Labs and many generic medications cost close to wholesale.
  • From 2026, an HSA can pay a DPC membership of up to $150 a month for an individual or $300 for a family.

Direct primary care is priced like a membership. You pay one flat monthly fee, and that fee covers your primary care. Most DPC practices set the fee by age, because the care people need changes over a lifetime. Peak Health will work the same way.

What the monthly fee covers

  • Office visits, with no copay, however many you need
  • Calls, texts and video visits with me
  • An annual wellness exam
  • Sick and injury visits, usually the same day or the next
  • Care for chronic conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes
  • Many in-office procedures
  • Your personal diet, exercise and sleep prescriptions

What costs extra

Some things are paid separately, at prices you see before you agree to them:

  • Labs. Members pay close to wholesale cost, which is often far less than a billed lab test.
  • Medications. Many generics are available at close to cost. You can also fill prescriptions at any pharmacy with your insurance.
  • Imaging, specialists and hospital care. These are outside the membership. I help you find fair cash prices or use your insurance, whichever costs you less.

How to compare it to what you pay now

Add up what primary care costs you in a year today: copays for each visit, the part of your deductible you pay for routine care and labs, urgent care visits, and the time off work spent waiting. Compare that with twelve months of membership. For many people, especially families and people with high-deductible plans, the numbers favor DPC. For others they don't, and that's fine. I explain more in Is DPC worth it for a family?

Paying with an HSA

Starting in 2026, federal law allows people with a health savings account to pay for a direct primary care membership from their HSA, as long as the fee is no more than $150 a month for an individual or $300 a month for a family, and having a DPC membership no longer disqualifies you from contributing to an HSA. Check with your HSA administrator or tax advisor about your own account.

Questions about DPC cost

What does the monthly membership cover?

Your primary care: office visits, calls, texts and video visits with Dr. Bennett, annual wellness exams, care for chronic conditions, sick and injury visits, and many in-office procedures. Members also get labs and many generic medications at close to wholesale cost.

How much will it cost?

Membership is a flat monthly fee based on age. Prices will be posted on the pricing page before the practice opens.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Starting in 2026, federal law lets you pay a direct primary care membership from a health savings account if the fee is no more than $150 a month for an individual or $300 for a family (2026 limits, adjusted yearly). Check with your HSA administrator or tax advisor about your own account.

Is direct primary care the same as concierge medicine?

They are similar, but DPC usually costs much less and does not bill insurance at all. Concierge practices often charge a large annual fee and also bill your insurance for visits.

Do children need their own membership?

Family pricing will be posted before opening. Children join with a parent or guardian who is a member.
